This page contains a little bit about my life and what goes on it:
I live in Sydney, Australia where I have been my whole life.I grew up out west, did a few years in the heart of the city and now have finally settled on the north shore, where i have bought an apartment and will probably remain for a few years to come.
I own a pice of paper that says I have completed a BSc. Comp. Sc. Dip IT (hons) at UTS Armed with this piece of paper I worked in the finance industry specalising in capital gains tax and business automation.
In 2004 I took a break from corporate life and persued a business venture. Late 2006 I returned back to the corporate world in a management role with a focus on process re-engineering.

My main tool of the trade is Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) inside and Excel environment. Excel is used by almost everyone in finance for their entire workday and is an essential part of the workflow. Over the years I have created hundreds of applications ranging from one off data manipulation tools to completely automated web front ends for investment and settlement systems.
When I get a spare moment I dabble with computers learning about computer security or lack of it. New techniques to break existing "secure" technology are continually being developed. A few friends and myself run a conference called RUXCON which gives an insight to the Australian community of such discoveries.
Too much work an no play makes Jake a dull boy, so for fun I go sailing at Pittwater racing in the twilight series or just a social sail whenever I can get a chance. My other favourite pastime is sampling the refreshing beverages Sydney's bars have on offer.
